oil pressure light flickering and white smoke out exhaust

your oil light can come on if there is too much preassure too! (dunno about 5.s but my mazda and pajero do)

my car only hits 80 degrees after a goo hours driving off boost. on boost it could be 5-10 min.

is there too much oil?

Right so my stat not opening might not be the solution :roll: i know ive not got to much pressure when idling because ive got an aftermarket mechanical gauge too.

i seem to have the same problem.
i've an electrial gauge and on idle it starts at 2 bar and over ten min it works up to just under 3 bar and when i drive for a bit it comes back down

Mines fine when driving its only when im idling that i get no pressure if i rev it it goes up :?

I know it's not a fix, but my knackered old fiesta would flash it's low oil pressure light at me on idle.

I just turned the idle speed up, ignorance is bliss.  :lol:

Only i couldn't give a **** about the little 950cc engine, and it didn't have an expensive turbo bolted to it.

I once had a mk2 fiesta pop and the water temp never worked, needless to say about 3 months of driving it seized whilst driven down country lane even being towed at 30mph would un jam it :mrgreen:
