hi everyone im new to the forum here is my 1.4 campus prima lets start the build!
next day started strippin her down hoping no rust :lol:
had a root threw the garage and found my old mim 1900's off my old golf gti lets try them on
stripped the interior nice solid floor thank fxxk
started to rub down
few skims of filler here and there the panel are straight apart from a few dings
next day started lookin around poke round with screwdriver and walla
and how did i not spot this must of been the excitement of owning my first 5
saw sorted all tools car bits saw i can get the new project in garage
1 door off one to go i could see more rot under the front panelsaw thought might aswel take doors off ready for prep
panel off aaaand found ..
THIS :shock: only jokin the few pictures ive showed is the only rot i hav found on the whole car which is nothing for one of these
ive decided not going to put gtt bumpers on guna put mk2 golf gti big bumper kit on here a pic i think itll look ace when ther all done
started on welding
but then i thought get my dad to do it he's a coded welder i wanted it done proper
thats it for now but i'll keep you posted thats if your interested lol only jokin

Looking good mate already a good read keep it up
ive never seen rot inside the door shut by the rubber seal before, i knew they went down at the edge of the seal at the front you learn something new everyday keep it up.

thanks nadgtt1982 and scratcher yes mk2 golf gti front and rear big bumpers are going on which i think will look good what you reckon?? dont want to put gtt bumpers everyone does it want to make mine abit different dont want to put all these jap style bodykits you can get for them either im not into that. and nice one andy

hi every few more pics on the litlle progress ive made dew to the shite weather ive done more than these pics are showing need a new charger for camera saw will post them asap.
right since the weather has bin crap :x thought id take the windscreen out as it had a crack right down it but thought id have a bit of fun
all panels are of now but look like im guna put my panel beating to the test on this
bit of bodywork
took a pic with the mobile tonight as the car is now

hi everyone havnt been on forum for a while havnt had time to do anything much to the 5 been busy and when i havnt the weather been crap.
saw lets start last bit of the welding what needs doing i saved best till last saw cut all rot out
saw my dad offered to weld i couldnt say no :wink: plus i cant weld with the mig plant i bought some advice never buy a gasless mig welder there shiiiite :!:
saw after me grinding it and cutting all pieces for my dad to weld on all car nice and solid again happy days
oh yes decided on a colour i sprayed a panel up to see iff it suits the car and im stickin with it its guna be black
ill post more pics up soon on my progress thank nathan

little update .right saw ive been wanting to finish the structual bits on the 5 and the front is the last of it
.saw i chopped out the rot and cut and shaped the pieces i needed as you can see .
didnt really take alot of pics but here is one all finished not the best pic really but itll do.
more updates soon

hi cheers bazr5gtt yes spraying it myself this will be my 5 th car ive resprayed was guna do it in imperial blue they look mean in black :twisted:
