Started on pulling the old lump out today, also mocked up the intercooler, fits perfectly, just need to make sure I can fit the pipe run on the drivers side..

Turbo turned up today, opened the box & instantly thought, hmmm, I think the front comp housing may be a bit big  :D
I was right, it won't fit the BB manifold
Plan is buy a T25 flange off ebay & use it as a spacer or I'll be forced to hold out untill I can afford to have a tubular made up, prob not till christmas or new year though now if thats the case  :x

Both front engine mounts are fabricated,  I will try a new rear one just so I can get the engine in & wiring done, can allways change it later.
Still waiting on my spacer for the turbo, hopefully that will allow it to fit or I will be buying a 200sx tubular & chopping it about, means I will need the downpipe as well I expect as the turbo will be top mounted...
Also welded the circlip in the valver box, that bugger won't pop now...

That turbo is huge compared to my GT28.

Steve looking good hope welding the circlip makes a difference if not I can see you eating gearboxes.

Are you beefing up that front engine mount as looks a little weak were it V's to the round engine rubber and joins

The mount is made up from the OE mount, I may beef it up a bit but it's surprisingly strong, it will depend if it flexes or not.

Finally getting there, got my spacer & some M10-M8 studs made up, now the turbo fits the manifold... Only time will tell if it clashes with the bulkhead or not
Hope to put it all together & in over the next couple of weeks.
I also picked up a phase 1 172 box from the scrappers as well as the driveshafts, hubs & brakes, all for a bargain 150 ! Plan is to save up & quaiffe the 172 box.
I also have an RS chargecooler & got my lightened flywheel back & fitted the ecu & fed the wiring through into the engine bay ready to get started on that.
