I have had my car off the road for about 2 weeks now to rebuild the bottom end,car built back up today but wont start,i have an immobiliser linked to an alarm,the fob activates all the electrics(they still work) and the immob cuts starter and pump(they are dead),its starts by running a live from pump and bumping it  but how can my car just pack up just by being sat,where should i be looking?

Could the alarm need resetting from being sat if the battery has been off?
I don't know anything about alarms, but it seems to be related if the imobiliser to me.

good call ive had alarms that just need reseting or maybe something more simple like bad earth

I had same problem with mine it was sat in a farmers shed for 2 years and it wouldn't start with new battery I had an alarm guy out it took him ten mins re set it over hauled the whole system and it fired with no probs

took alarm an immob off today....3 alarms!!!! an still no joy,ended up tracing feed for pump relay and re-wiring it then re-wired the starter,all fine now!
