Who has AA relay?
« on: 17:44, Wed 01 June 2011 »
Ive got this and ive used it before (on my turbo actually)
But what are the criteria to be towed home.
The last time was the big ends had gone so it couldnt be repaired at the side of the road.
Would they do the same for a fuel leak as i wont be able to fix mine where it is.
I would call them but its a costly number. Just wondering if anyone knew how it all works.
Cheers
Mark

Call them from a uni phone

They'd probably fix it for you so you can make the drive home. They tend to only tow you home as a last resort (I think?). If only Russell still lived up that way

I've been towed back twice.

Neither time did anyone even attempt to lift the bonnet, the last time was just a snapped drivebelt, i would of thought they would of at least carryed one of those emergency belts so i could drive less then 10 miles home.

Good point actually. When i broke down last time i had to take my bumper off so he could get to the tow eye. and he didnt even lift the bonnet. i just said, big ends gone and he went ok

Called the AA out yesterday and for the record, this guy was a good one. He cut out the offending pipe and replaced with rubber hose. Very good of him. Didnt even charge me for the pipe  :D
