oil pressure kit - where???
« on: 12:00, Sun 15 May 2011 »
can someone tell me where I connect this to? it is on the other end of oil pressure gauge piping.
I know its prob best to go before the turbo but Can I connect it straight on somewhere or do I need an adaptor?

Follow the braided hose back to the engine, take the old electric sensor off and replace with this one.

Thanks guys.
Right, I have followed the braided hose to the block, there are 2 connections for the o.e pressure sensor, so do I swap it with the connection facing the radiator?

That adapter looks ideal, would that fit any old turbo?

Take all your bits and bobs to your local Pirtek and they will sort you out with something. A 't' piece on the turbo oil feed is ideal.

thanks for the input guys. For the time being I have connected the gauge to the block where the o.e connector attaches.

It seems great so far, the o.e gauge used to only move slightly when revved etc so was hard to interpret how much pressure was there. Now I am able to see a much better representation of actual pressure - magic!!!   8)  8)

Ash-lee, unfortunatley there is no pirtec up here :(   They used to be in a unit in the industrial estate but they are long gone.............in time I will be getting an adaptor at the turbo end
