Renault 5 GT Turbo / Re: clues please

took alarm an immob off today....3 alarms!!!! an still no joy, ended up tracing feed for pump relay and re-wiring it then re-wired the starter, all fine now!

cheers for your help guys

1.9 bar is around 28psi,they say a pump should run 3- 4 bar at 3.5k revs 45-60 psi so i wouldn't be worried mate,as you say oil gets thin when warm an r5's run hot too

I have had my car off the road for about 2 weeks now to rebuild the bottom end,car built back up today but wont start,i have an immobiliser linked to an alarm, the fob activates all the electrics(they still work) and the immob cuts starter and pump(they are dead),its starts by running a live from pump and bumping it  but how can my car just pack up just by being sat, where should i be looking?

Waht a load of crap!!! ,oil pump for alledgedly a 5 turbo arrived today, totally different from the 1 i took off,why do people try to pass things off a what theyre not,it even said the applications on the box with no mention of turbo's,the body size is a lot smaller than the turbo 1,back to the drawing board,no chance of even putting a repair kit in as it looks like someones took to it with i grinder

Im liking it matey, its got a 90's look to it, mine came with them gay mirrors when i bought mine in 2002. Its nice to see someone else with a huge over the top spoiler too

Think you have to have an OTT spoiler on a modded R5.....appparently its in the owners handbook LOL

i have standard mirrors for it LOL,

spec is tuning HE7 turbo
group A carb
285 cam
low comp piston/liner kit (gt tuning)
it has other bits and bobs but somewhere through its life things like the lobster pot ect have been removed.

it runs 1.5 bar atm with no problems but a front mount and boost increase on the rollers is next on the to do list along with the standard mirrors and maybe a new front bumper

mirrors are on there way out,got some standards, spoiler is stayin!!!!,it keeps the back window dry LOL.

you'll not change my mind on the 3 spokes either :D ,as for the bumper i hate it but thinkin of filling it with an intercooler.
