what section of the speedo cable do you need? and why do you need it?

common problems are loose connections in the engine bay and loose pins on the dash connector or the connector working loose from the dash

connections can be cleaned and tightened with a small flat blade screwdriver and the connector coming loose on the dash can be fixed with a cable tie  8)

i think i have a spare gearbox side cable but defo not the other half going to the dash

farrr to expensive for my liking and it seems most years some chav dies or gets close to it by od'ing on something

i call it ultimate street chav   :lol:

all the switchs apartfrom the window ones take the 509t's I think, not sure about the dash ones

halfords sell the bulbs

bulb number 509T also comes with the holder aswell :)

i cleared my local halfords out they had 6 on the shelf and with a trade card they dont cost that much

Some of the "chav show" kits mess with the ignition system to get more fuel in the exhaust

Altho if you dont have an ignition cut part then you'll only burn your baffles out eventually   :lol:

Who's the best place to take my spare t2 turbo to and get them turn it into a t25/t2?
My spare t2, needs a new bearing and seal set but would like to make it a bit more powerfull at the same time 8)

what sort of overall power and how soon does the turbo make say a bar of boost on a standard cam?
Trying to decide between a full t25 or a the t25/t2

Might have an issue
Doner 5th gear's are different sizes, thickness, design and ratio's, to what i have on the car  

The doner is jb3 032 and the one in the car is jb3 014, both have the same diff ratios and gear ratios so they should be the same, yet visually there different gears
So did a bit of checking and i think someone has swapped mine over before for maybe a campus gearset at some point as thats the only guess i have as to why they are different and the reason behind me finding bits of needle roller in the casing with the gears

After finding what other bits i need to swap to make it work without grinding the casing it was all put back together with loctite

been having a go trying to get these gears off with no pullers that fit at home

Screwdrivers + blow torch and hammer =  :mrgreen:  

5th gear and everything is off  :mrgreen:

Now time to order a curry from the local and then take the one off the car in situ, this could get interesting  :eek:

Might have the car back for the weekend at this rate  8)

Right busy evening for me

Went over to cambridge to collect my winnings and i've scored alot more than i thought   :mrgreen:

won on ebay
loads of interior switchs
+ got given for free
a set of push rods
inlet manifold
exhaust manifold
water pump + housing
fuel regulator
rocker cover
uprated head bolts which i'll bin as new ones are cheap enough

T2 turbo going away to be made into a t25/t2 hybrid = more power = bigger grin  :mrgreen:    

Carb that needs tlc

Stripped the head down to a bare head, valves and springs ready for measuring thickness and straightness then of for a crack test and skimming in the future when money allows

Gearbox stripped down
Cover is good and 5th gear is fine  just need to find out how to swap them in situ as this gearbox is too manky internally to put in the car

Taught the bro how to strip a 5 carb and check jet sizes. its all standard jets so i'll be ultrasonic tanking it to make it uber clean through out and treating it to gasket set

yeah i used a m6x1.00 helicoil set
but the original holes i think are actually m7x1.00? very hard to find then you have to find a bolt the same m7x1.00 which will be just as hard   :roll:

found out the 5th gear oil feed on the end cover had sheered off causing 5th to starve of oil and melt the needle roller bearing and thus killing the gear

Another gearbox has been sourced but i'll be changing 5th gear over with the box in the car as its far too hot to be taking gearboxs in and out again  :mrgreen:
