Its alot of mucking about to fit it on though, Sparkeysparks done it on the car be fore i bought it so was little easier for me when swaping the turbo over to another one as original one failed.

To be honest unless you fit a more conventional rear housing and decent bearings then i prob say don't bother, won't take alot of boost.

Thanks, i will stick to the GT2854R or Gt2560R as i can get hold of them...
Markey, i got another question, what do you think of fitting the Cam from normal 1.4 N/A engine ? Has anyone done it ? Is it going to be better than std cam. ?

hi guys im new to this but next year im going to do a conversion on my r5 and after reading this think this is what im going to try. so any more info would be great.

Thing with this converson is there isn't any info about it, never been done. Worth having a go if its going to have potential though.

I think guys that if someone does this conversion everyone is going to forget about 16v and volvo conversions... That would be the best conversion!

That would be a great conversion! Since the engine is already turbocharged, but i dont get why is noone replying to this post..
I wish i could know that it is an easy conversion, i would throw c1j away and fit it straight in.
That 2.0T engine can hit 250hp easily with stock turbo FMIC, and good exhaust and the right remap...

Come on Guys tell us your opinions!

The original works well enough so no real need to change it, unless its for a new original one.

Where can i find the new original one?? Do you think if i would order aftermarket one with gauge that it will do the same job?? Or i will need to get specific one >??

Gianni has 450bhp with the NOS, so that 300bhp engine and the rest (150bhp) is the NOS

don't think so...i'll ask him now and quote his answer...

Gianni doesnt just drive normal Carb, he's got a ECU and 2 injectors in his carb to help fueling, he's got standalone ECU boost controlers and fueling ecu separately, custom made, Forged pistons, rods, custom Cam, and custom crank.. He is running 300bhp out of the turbo and 150hp Shot of Nos, i have spoken to guy many times for my cars issues over facebook, and met him in person at one drag race..

Renault 5 GT Turbo / Carb running out of petrol.. Urgent
« on: 00:56, Thu 16 September 2010 »
Hi guys, i am running a stock T2 turbo on 1.2 bars on carb TOP!

My Jets are at the moment

1.2 main
Std venturi
2nd stage 1.3
needle jet 2mm
A/c 0.9

I am running first and second gear fine.. it overfuels a bit, and then at the 3rd gear i am leaning out badly. the exhaust just starts poping and making loud explosions.. My AFR's jump imidiately to 20's ... I Dont know what could be a problem.. but the carb seems empty once on full boost...  When i apply throtle slowly it fuels fine.. but once i am changing the gears quickly it just runs out of petrol....
I am thinking of the fuel pump, it is stock but quiet old.. I am not sure what could be a problem.
Could the fuel pump be a problem that it doesnt have enough pressure to fuel the carb well??
Thanks guys!
