Thanks chaps...

The 5 has never been in a mag, spent most of its life in my garage and only comes out on nice days... The wheels dont go stright on, ive machined all my huds down to VW fitment, also ive machined my brake calipers for these to sit nice on the car aswell...

The civic is going well.... fastest complete run to date is 11.2@126mph have managed an 11.1 at a storming 330ft time but boost hose blow off, had a feeling that was nearly a 10second run.. Im currently changing the turbo for a much better unit and getting back out to bad in a few weeks...

Video of the civic there......

I run Hondata management all set up and mapped by me...

If you gearbox is leaking oil DO NOT go driving it around... Why not check to see where the leak is from under the car ( from what is said seems to be box)... also why not check the level on the gearbox? if no joy here drain the box and count what litres was left in the box?

Ill be there with my civic on its first outing (i know its not a renault Blah). Been going pod now for 6 years and this is the best event to get alot of runs per pound spent, ideal to test and tune your car on day with no waiting around.... Will be a great day...

Its free to come and watch for the day, 5 to camp, to run your car is as said above.....  :D

The carb is the main restriction on a GT turbo imo.. but there isnt much you can do unless you go efi and custom mani.. When porting id mainly look at intake over exhuast as the exhaust gas will find its own way out good enough.. You could match the ports to the gasket maybe? But with all this in mind id leave mine till i reach a power level i feel i need to modifi it.. the stock GT head can flow 300hp or 120mph trap speeds from my results.. And thats with a 25mm Venturi carb still in place...

I wouldnt just up the main and down the AC either...

You need to tune the richment jets so you only get the extra fuel when you need it on boost..  :)

Oh to add an uprated head gasket has nothing over a std one but .2mm... choice your gasket to suit your cars purpose imo....

Also where was the crack on the turbo schwartz???? was it between the turbine wheel and act penny? if so thats ok.. its normal... it happens...

So what you pop lad?

They are a strong engine and can make good power for the road.. The cam is vary mild so would need changing and also the ecu (standard management) has a set rev limiter so you cant really rev them high unless you change the ecu for standalone... so this would cost a bit...

Tune the c1j

Thats one big jet, you need to set carb up properly with the richment jets not main.. also at 22psi if anyone is breaking pistons there not set up correctly...
