Renault have done some good ones with the clio. Remember the Renault Clio ELF UK Cup race series?

Yeah I thought it would be blue too. Seems they don't remember that far back.

Expensive!

Not good on fuel, at all. Insurance will be a lot. Parts will be a lot. THey are quite reliable though. Gearbox is a weak spot, first gear on the EVO's and third for the 8/16 valve models. Evo's dont rust though. You need to spend as much on one as you can really, and still expect some bills. It WILL be worth it though, one hell of a car.

Where exactly do you take feed from the carb base then? I'm getting round to fitting my gauges so might as well do it right.

Found 2 leaks today. One from the water pump, looks like one of the bolts that hold it together is leaking. The other was rom the carb base to inlet manifold pipe. I saw a drip on the perk sensor and when I had a feel it started pissing out like a jet wash! New pipe on order.

Ok, so is standard boost 11-12 psi at carb top then?

That's unbelievably tidy! Do you use him a lot? I think its easier to keep a car running smoothly if it has regular use. I hope mine looks that good one day.

Head gasket is new so hopefully not that! I will have to leave it running and keep an eye out for a leak, as it must be a small one somewhere. I suspect the hose from the water pump to the degassing pot, the one with the bleed screw in, but can never catch it doing it!

Bigman, the color is Renault electric blue. I believe it was only avaialble on D/E plate cars. Phase 1 and 1.5 were available in it. I have never seen it in a car newer than 88, E. I supose that makes Subarus Renault blue then

14psi carb top which will work out to be around 9-10psi carb base, ideally any change in boost and you should get the afr's checked to make sure all good.

Where does the standard boost gauge feed come from?

Dump valve now removed, so much better IMO.

I seem to have a coolant leak or something that needs tracing. It drops to just below minimum level after a couple of journeys but never lower! THe fan kicks in sooner when I've topped it up though, so I really want to sort it out. I'll be buggered if I can find a leak though. Any ideas?
