The timing is fixed, the pipes on the back of the carb should be on really but dont know if this would prevent the car starting check the timing sensor tdc on the gearbox goes to the ign. module if this is broken/not connected it def wont start.

And dont you need to get the head machined where the rocker assembly bolts on? hope this helps

Mine was the same try fiddling with the connector on top of the sender which is under the back seat, failing that try a sender unit from cgb motorsport

That Nova looked a lot of fun. The 2L conversion seemed popular in the early to mid nineties but I haven't seen a Nova for ages.

I had a nova gte 2.0l 16v turbo no digital photos back in the day though

it bolts to the front of the gearbox (flywheel end) and the rubber part sits in a cup which bolts to the front of the subframe
