It looks good because the boost pipes are red and the coolant hoses are original black when they are all the same colour i think it can be too much imo. Very good i shall now steal this idea for my own car! :wink:

haha..  I have tried to keep it as tasteful as poss..  I agree about the hose thing.  You see a lot of bays packed full of colours, but they lose the detail.  I dont even think its looks as good yet as its going to, when the front alloy int.cooler is back and the silver mesh induction kit...  that will really set it off.  I am tinkering with the idea of a genuine carbon fibre heat shield and carbon perc hose.. but other things to do 1st (just getting some more brake bits chromed up then get them fitted)  Just ordered some carbon fibre for other parts  

I have ordered some more bits that should be here in a few days.. that will prob be the majority of the engine done then....(but I always say that!  :lol: )  happy days

yep you sure do, you will get it how you want it and then the next morning you will go in the garage and change your mind and start all over again, lol

ive just been on forge website and had a look and it doesent seem that bad to fit maybe a days work, just got to decide on which turbo to go for now

print out was 215 ish but now running slightly higher boost so should be 220 - 230

what spec is the engine ?

looks good mate, be nice to no what engine spec you have if you have 225 bhp, do you have a print out to say its 225bhp or is that what you have been told

sounds good and it looks like a new turbo will be on the cards for next month then as getting wheels this month and mrs will kill me if i buy a turbo aswell as just chipped my range rover sport

i dont have a group a carb mine has just been rejeted as i heard group a carbs are more hassle than there worth and people go back to standard and rejet, would the forge intercooler make much difference ? i like my power low down and i have the 270 cam which kicks in nicely, so far my spec is...

 engine consists of-brand new standard pistons and liners,lightened and balanced crank and flywheel,crank has been machined to 0.25mm,big end and little end,brand new oil pump,BB Tuning gaskets kit,uprated head gasket and bolts,stage 3 ported and gas flowed head,270 degree cam from BB Tuning,plus uprated valve springs and seals,250 bhp BB clutch,all new bearings and shells,brand new water pump,turbo technics stage 1 turbo,pace double capacity intercooler,currently running 14 psi, full stainless steel exhaust,scorpian 4 inch back box and the rest magnex,full samco hoses,bailey dump valve,carb rejetted.

i think its about 165bhp at the minute so i was told but what do you think ?? it would be nice to be around the 185 to 200 bhp so i had a bit more power but iam not complaining at the minute as it doesent hang about

I currently have a pace double capacity intercooler and iam thinking of getting a forge FMIC will this make much difference to the car ??

Also thinking of getting a bigger turbo can anyone recommend which ones are good??? i only use the car on weekends and not as a daily driver

if i do these 2 things to my car is it going to make a big difference to the car

if you have the engine out then go for a full rebuild if you have the funds as you no when you put it back in its going to last a while as the last thing you want to do is put engine back in and then something happens and it has to come out again....thats what i would do anyway

Might be a bit OTT for road use i think. 10w40 will protect well enough between 90-120c, theres no reason why the oil would get any hotter then that unless you do a lot of trackdays.

well if you love your car that much cost and exellence doesnt come into it
thats why iam using valvoline 15w50 never missed a beat

i agree with that i use mobil 1 motorsport 15w50 and it costs £50 every 2000 miles for oil change but its good oil and my car demands the best :lol:
