Why not get one of these? also Ive seen them with the oil cooler built in if you didnt want a separate oil cooler.

Theirs not any need to buy a refubed head unless the head you have has been skimmed to many times cracked etc. to check if the heads warped get a straight edge but if it was me I would get the head skimmed and checked over. HTH

Prob a good idea to grind some of the head off the bolt that goes into the cam through the vernier or fit the cork gasket to the timing chain cover of it tends to knock or rattle a bit
When you had the bottom end balanced was it with the flywheel & clutch on ?? & were the rods matched ?
I had that problem with the cam bolt steve it nearly wore though the cover, in the end I didnt use the washer and all has been fine its almost as if the washer is built into the veiner.

Thanks bric, yeah thats what Im planning to do james I want to put it next to the washer bottle in the scuttle area just really want to see how other people have done it before I start cutting hoses etc.

cheers james it is mainly for for the purpose but looks quite cool to. Ive got a fair amount of carbon left just trying to think somthing I could use it for?

It does sound like the pump mine had similar problems when mine gave up, take the pump off and test it in water dont let it run dry though.
Also I think gsf sell the same pump as cgb but cheaper :wink:
