Renault 5 GT Turbo / Re: vac and breather hoses ??
« on: 07:13, Wed 29 June 2011 »
looking at the pic the 1 on the lobster at the top.  goes to fuel reg then t to the carb directly underneath . bottom 2 block off then see the one under that on the carb base that goes to the actuator. then theres 1 on the in let manifold at the back underneath the carb base that goes to the aei unit and boost gauge if u wanna read manifold pressure. if not jus connect the boost gauge to the 2 i said block off and thatl read u carb top pressure should be about 2 psi differance between the two. hope that helps

plus at the back ov your inlet manifold there should b to pipes 1 going to ur brake servo the other 1 block off.
and if u got 1 coming off your turbo exsaugst elbow block that off two.

breathers. top ov degassing chamber should go to ur air filter to stop any fumes bottom one to crank breather and middle one to rocker cover thas how i got my ones and havent had no probs

 :)

How's the heater matrix looking?
You can make up a pressure tester with an old header tank cap and bike inner tube valve. Pump it up to about 10-15 psi and you'll soon see any leaks.

well ive felt around and no water inside nothing wet. i supose i could get a closer look.
i got a old cap for the header so ill try making 1 thanks matey would never ov fort ov tha  :)

Well at least you know what it is now.

Reminds me, some kid shouted 'Its a GT Turbo!" at me the other day as i drove past. Thanks kid, i had always wondered what i was driving around in for the last 4 years.

I suppose he did a better job then another lad you said to me 'Nice XR Turbo'

The un-educated swine!

that made me lol!!
