to be fair, it was actually the liners. - i'd worn them into an hourglass shape through overrevving.... :shock:

pull off the breather pot with the car running, and stick your thumb over the pipe that comes up from the sump, wait about 30 secs. i bet the turbo starts smoking....

i had some on my old gtt. i powdercoated the teddy black and the rim silver.
there is a huge flaw with them.... the centre piece is plastic. if you get them painted, the paint is slightly thicker than usual OE. when braking your wheels get slightly warmer - the metal and plastic stick together through expansion - you cannot get the wheel off.

how do i know this....  :roll:

hi, i'm new to all these renault 5's.
i hope to learn alot in the coming months....

even though this site has been using my image for years on the maintenance page in the beige coat bent over the white gtt fitting a dump valve.....  :lol:
