yep sticking with the same grey as on the car, but without the blue and purple glitter in the clear coat, the grey is not standard tungsten its got a bit of silver metallic in it as well

Crikey, you have gone all the way with this shell!

What brand of under seal did you use out of interest?

yeah its getting the full resto now!

I used Hammerite Stone Chip Shield in the wheel arches and along the inside of the inner sills as it drys hard and not tacky and Hammerite under body seal on the underside of the shell, this stays tacky and forms a thicker protective layer. Both out of the large spray cans they do.

Sills are the worst place for rust, look under the car both sides and behind the side skirts and body kit if you can. the front jacking points also rust bad as well, then the windscreen surround, then the rest of it!!

I see the forum has changed to a new skin, lots of great work on other builds too. Here are a few pictures of where my car is at the moment.

I have completely stripped the shell, engine is out, cleaned and painted the front and rear sub frames. cleaned underside and new under seal, stone chipped wheel arches, new suspension parts all round, need to put the back end back in then do some welding inside then it can get painted.

I'm mainly hanging out on now days so updates may not be so regular on here, but I will keep the thread going with some pictures of the main work etc...

Got a donor screen panel from Mike at gt turbo spares, cut it in two, and used the bottom half as one piece, the top half will have sections cut from it to make patches.

Looking good Ash, Mike GT spares has cut me out a panel so I can do mine, seeing yours going in so nicely has given me the confidence to crack on with it  :D

Engine bay and all the steering parts look sweet, nice and new! The rocker cover is a nice touch to 8)

The windscreen is not too bad that I need the whole panel but could do with sections as making the plates/patches to fit is a pain. Going to see what I can get hold of as scrap.

Got some more done this weekend, drivers side welding is nearly finished, just a small hole in the front arch to patch up, then I can drop the jacks and cut out the windscreen rust.

Jacking point, had to weld a plate into the floor to patch up some holes then weld the jacking point onto it

Rear bumper mount went on nicely.

Windscreen out, cracked the shit out of it getting it out, needed a new one anyway. Pain in the arse to do but it came out...

Here are the next areas of rust I need to sort out:
