mine did this for sometime, ended up being the oil seal on the turbo exhaust side. what colour is the smoke? bit of blue in it?

just had my vnt turbo fitted and its over boosting big time.
Anyone shine me some light on how to reduce the boost? also the actuator operates by vaccum?
is there ment to be a different way of connecting the actuator up?

hi dave,
 i got it from a guy off ebay, it was ment for my Honda integra type-r dc2 but then i sold the car and just made it fit the renault :wink:

yes im using logworks3

Ive just had a read in the manual and there is nothing there about setting a warning sound when hitting peaks.
BUT
you can set min and max peak indicators to show  when running lean or rich when driving up threw the gears etc etc.....

No worries il have a looky.
I can get my RPM to work by playing with the settings/pulses per second but its all over the shop using the analog cable :cry:

One more question for you both, what should i be getting on just normal driving? not that ill be doing normal driving on track :lol:

also i like to get this RPM sorted :cry:  have any of you used that cable that goes around one of you HT leads to help log the RPM ??

just would like to get this working as when adding extra performance parts i can compare rpm curve with others sessions.

ill have to check when i get home on the computer to check my sessions, on idle im getting 14s AFR.

What. Size you drilled it out to or is it a standard ac jet size? If standard ac 1.25 leave it at that and see what happens on your wideband kit


following on from the above
finally fitted my innovate lm2 kit and all working, well......
Not the RPM tho, it works but doesnt if you know what i mean, seem to be a problem with these R5's
I have a standard carb accept stage two is drilled and tapped with a 1.25 jet in.


did a test in 4th gear starting from 2400 revs to 6000 foot to the floor over 10 second session
on full boost(WOT) at 1bar manifold getting low as 12 and max 12.6 at a average over 10 seconds 12.2 AFR
I seem to be getting the same reading from all gears.

This is my stastictics from 1st gear to 4th gear on full throttle (WOT)

Measured Time 16.22 sec
Average 12.2 AFR
Max 15.1AFR
Min 10.6 AFR
Spread 4.5 AFR

What do you think as im still new to this?
Any one got any good sessions saved that they could email me to use as a guide on Logworks3?

Thanks for the comments guys :wink:  havent been on here in awhile.
took my dash fully out to save on abit more weight

little update,
i managed to be able to detatch the centre plastic part of the dash and made up some brackets to fit in place without all the rest of the dash etc etc as the other bits was the heaviest.

at this time i could only use plywood as i couldnt get my hands on some ally material in time, but on the plus note at least ive got templates to use on the ally when i finally get some :wink:

from this picture i have managed to keep most of the wiring loom hidden and also i painted the plywood with black paint just to make it look tidy :roll:  :lol:


Also fitted a power cut off switch (far right) that goes straight to the battery incase of electrical fault etc etc
fitted a magnet underneath the sump.
will finally paint all around dash black when i get my ally material.

What db's are the side exit exhausts?

cant have to louds as ill be on track with it.
