Renault 5 GT Turbo / Smoke comming from exhaust

My fresh rebuilt engine is starting to smoke :-(
Done over 500miles of easy driving, oil + filter change (10w60)
now got more then 1500miles on it  (raised the boost a bit) and it starts to smoke @ idle also the breather pipe gives too much fumes.
And when i launch the car and rev it up to 6000 in 1st and 2nd it spills oil out of the oilsump breather... (this @15psi manifold)
done a compression test all 4cylinders between 9.2 and 9.8 bar (138psi and 147psi)

Piston rings damaged? turbo oil seals gone? (whole engine was rebuilt, except for the main crankshaft bearings and the camshaft + camgearing)

I got two gearboxes here with both a different problem, one has got a problem on the primary axle (bearing) and the otherone has a loose crown wheel in the differential,
Now i want to make one good box, is this poss?
How do i open these boxes?

I want to place 3 gauges in place of the center ventilation, do i need to remove the whole dash for this? or wich parts?


Renault 5 GT Turbo / Turbo shutter noise

When i floor my gt in 4th and 5th gear, when i get above 4500 rpm, i start to get some sort of turbo shutter noise, this is not normal i guess??? I use a hks ssqv at the moment, its from my gtr, but i wanted to test it, cause i got problems with my forge d/v with diagram on the gtt, the gt overfuels and doesnt drive good whern i use it.

Again a question :-)

Is it necessary that i use an oil filter specific for the gtt? because of oil pressure?
Its flatter than the other renaults filters, i got also other renaults riding here (mom, dad and my other 5 baccara) i got a crate of oem Purflux filters and they are all suited for those cars, so can i use it for the gtt? i heard some filters tend to drain themselves back into the sump...
Any good advice on this, someone??


Renault 5 GT Turbo / ignition sensor wire switch any good?

I'm in doubt of switching the wires of the ignition sensor, i read some about it and also all the cup cars had this done, so should i? or has this got any negative sides?

what purpose  has the second connection on the actuator of an original T2 turbo?  i know its connected true that weird pipe comming from the ex elbow,  does it slow down the spoolup of the turbo so it doesnt kick in so hard? cause for all day driving i like a smooth turbo, cause mine kicks in So f*ckin hard ( its a stage 1 turbo technics, so also small :-) )

When open the site i always have to log in manually and after a  few minutes it logs out automattically, this is really anoying... any help plz.

I installed an AEM failsafe wideband sensor on my gtt and i ve been doing some testruns.

I got now a 125 main jet, a 100 A/c and the 1st and 2nd stage havnt touched.

I run it @ 15 psi carb, but it leans in to 15's (afr) when i go easy on throtlle and go from no boost to a few psi's, but when i floor it it goes to 11.6 constant,

So i run lean off boost and too rich on boost :-)  and also when i turn in on street and give a lil throtlle it holds a bit back and then goes nicely( i think not enough fuel...)

What should i try now?

Is it normal that i have to push the pedal fully down to get the gt in 1st? and its hard to get it in reverse, i got the green valeo clutch, its the one that should be used in the 1.7 turbo (b18ft, no?)

I would like to get the pedal to bite (the clutch lol) a lil higher from the ground...

Everything is up and running, the car responds well, now running it in... i ll post pics soon!

But Now i also got another f*cking problem, my fueltank is leaking on the side where that yellow plug is sitting, any ideas on solving this????

My gearbox need to be swapped and i wanna drop the whole engine out true the bottom togheter with the subframe, cause i got a car lift in my garage :-)  is there anything i need to pay attention for? is this the quickest way?

Hi, quick question, can i remove the swirl pot from my cooling circuit?, i dont like it, i know what it does, but i dont really believe in it :-)) Its a 1990 gtt ph2


What about the run in process of a complete rebuild engine? what oil, how many miles? and when can i floor it :-D :-D :-D
