Renault 5 GT Turbo / drinking water

ive checked all the pipes checked all the fittings, i have changed the headgasket couple weeks ago. coz it failed because a privous owner av over tightend a headbolt and de threaded it and on the head for the rockers so i helicoiled it. thats all done nw and i do nt have any smoke, mayo and she runs fine im a bit lost. any ideas any1.

heres how i got the car for changing a headgasket on another 5  :shock:  :shock:






shocking what people think is nice  :?
so ive got hold ov a donor car which was rotted but the parts and interior were good and clean.
the dimma is a sound shell so out of the to i should have a tidy car hopfully  
so here it is at the moment











managed to source a front bumper good find i think  

it should be back from paint before xmas    nice prezzy for my self  :mrgreen:
and heres my pillar pods im making








so as soon as it comes back from paint ill be able to get dirty and get it back on the road  :mrgreen: and get some more pics up    wa u think black with white or black wheels thats the bit im stuck on  :lol:

hi peeps havent posted on here four a while,got a new project going on (pics will come shortly)  jus need to know how i would go about getting my engine block cleaned. it is stripped of all its internals. thanks.

hi, got a noise from my turbo when coming on to boost it wines then a little rattle then goes abo 3.500rpm it does it when reving on stand still but only quiet thats how i know its coming from turbo any clues anyone is my turbo nackerd or on way out :?:  :roll:

hi,right i was on my way home got to my street put my foot down in first to about 5k as i reversed on to my drive and cut out when i started it it sounded like it had a miss fire so i went to buy some plugs and leads, then went home to change them and got to the last one at the waterpump end and the new plug just sloted in without screwing up, then looked at the plug and it was a different size thread but wat pickeld me is that the numbers on the old plugs are all the same just one has bigger thread.

any help great thanks, peter.

also it puffs out black smoke when i try to rev it a bit.

hi guys, when i start my car with the choke on it sounds like my car starts missing is it to do with fueling.
also my wipers wont go on the slow setting its either medium or fast.
any ideas people cheers. :?

when im driveing my gear stick moves quite alot with the engine when i throttle or take off the throttle .
the front mount on the engine its just a ball in a metal cup is there anything else to go in the cup or is that right.
any ideas on the movement great thanks.

plus is 2half turns enough on the mixture screw on a group a carb with standard boost. :?:

hi guys,wats the best way to flush my coolant system, as i got like brown gunge in my tank want to flush it good as im putting new rad on.

Renault 5 GT Turbo / starter keeps mashing the fly

right my car mashed 2 starters and a fly wheel. put new fly wheel in and bran new starter but go to start it and it sounds like its going to mash it again. so took the starter off again and had a look. right where the bolts go in, the holes go wide in the middle between the box and the starter is there susposed to b metal bushes/collars in there filling the gap as i think the starter might b moving :cry:
any help would great as this is really doing my nut :?  :evil:
