No smoke or major smell of fuel.  My next step was swapping back to standard carb.  I know nothing about carbs so sorry if im asking stupid questions!  But..  could i just buy a second hand carb on ebay and fit it or would it all need setting up to get it to run properly?  Thanks for the advice!  Sam

Renault 5 GT Turbo / struggles on full throttle

Hi, having trouble with my 5 gt turbo.  On full throttle it takes off then when on full boost seems to hit a wall and feels like the engines struggling/missing/hitting a rough limiter.  Any ideas?  Its a standard engine running standard boost but think someones fitted a group a carb.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks, Sam

Renault 5 GT Turbo / Couple problems...

Firstly hello, im new here!  Just bought a 5 gt turbo phase 2.   Its standard apart from a bleed valve under bonnet and i believe the carbs had bigger jets or something to cope with the upped boost.  Anyway, i want the car standard so have screwed the bleed valve right down, now will the car over fuel if the carbs got bigger jets, and now running standard boost?  If so is this dangerous?  Secondly, on full boost the engine suddenly cuts, jerks, for a split second.  Any idea whats causing this?  Im gonna be changing the oil and filters and plugs soon to cancel out that as a source.  Any help would be great, thanks, Sam
