i cant seem to get all gears i.e if i adjust the gear rod i will lose reverse but gain 5th gear and then if i re-adjust i lose 5th and gain reverse,what am i doing wrong adjusting too far?

can someone expalin the term 2nd stage on a carb as i heard it allows you to run more fuel and boost but where is it on the carb and what does it look like,cheers.

I needed to find the vin plate on a R5 but I need the chassis nunber does anyone know what they should start with and how many digits there are? There's a long number starting with VF,thanks

there is a pipe that come up from the back of the sump and the way is plumed in i take it its for a breather system but what is it for and what does it do and is it needed,thanks

cheers mark,ive heard about a group A 1.9mm gasket from cgb so i might give that a try,as to the head gasket blowing im not too sure i know its either low water or low oil but can anyone give more info as to what else would cause it to give up? as im taking the head off i was thinking to get it ported and polisihed just wanted to know if thats worth it?

i think ive blown my head gasket ive got water pouring out my manifold and down pipe and i dont mean a few drops its flowing out like a tap,pure white smoke and sounds like shes missing and cream all over the rocker cover,what is the best uprated head gasket to use?cheers

your best bet is to chase the wiring back to the live and earth points,and as for the m.o.t remove the wiper if it does not work

no kinks are bends,i think they must just be tight against the glass so might need to prise them open slightly
