I thought about putting my old 4 x 15" kickers in the back of the Extra van, but I need it as my work hose.  Will bring the base van to the Surrey meet in the summer, blow the cobb webbs out :wink:

Well remembered!  Plug on the loom can also cause problems.

If you can get a slide hammer , screw it in where the key goes and give it a bang , this should pull barrel out then get a screwdriver in and you'll be able to turn it to correct position to pull rest out

The outer casing can snap.  Drill out the snap bolt and loosen the 13mm holding the steering column.  Unscrew the indicator stalk and side the lot out.  Replace with an new / secondhand unit and refit.

Sounds like you have a campus tailgate.  The R5 GGT had metal mounting points on the tailgate and the spoiler should have metal inserts to help secure it in place. Renault also used trim tape around the edges. Go to your local body shop and get trim tape, not the cheap stuff, but the M3 tape body shops use.  Once stuck it will be like new.

Had a Black one for 4 years ever let me down once.  Lots of Jap places have popped up breaking them so parts easy to get, also get bits from forums in Japan, Language can be a problem.  Get down to the docks at Southampton and buy one straight of the boat without a SAV. Very fun car easy to drive, get an import and they come fully loaded.

If you are going to take it apart do the job once and do all the bits that need doing.  Saves time and money in the long run.

You can do it yourself for less then £100, thats including everything you need.

I would get a few quotes from garages, i imagine you wont see much change from £300.

Not always for £100.  While you have the head off check the valve stem seals, valve guides etc.
