Got my r5 booked in for a spray job and need some suggestions on colour as in completely stuck and getting headaches looking at colour charts !!
Already had a Cozzy Blue, Tungy Grey and this one is Met Silver but needs a fresh coat down the passenger side due to the laquer not taking when the previous owner had it sprayed !!
So bitten the bullet and decided to go all out and respray it, so will look gleaming for the shows this year !!!
Any ideas and pic welcome !

That 1st pic= :D :D :P 8) , 2nd pic= :| :( (need a puke smilie) although I'd probably say the opposite if the colours were the other way round - that pug MPV thing really looks like shit!
-
i do like the metalic light blue colour but not the best example to show the colour to its full !!
need to get the colour right as i never want to have it done again.

You really need to see the paint on a car or at least painted on something and not just in a tiny little colour chart. I chose Rolls Royce royal blue from a colour chart and while it looks nice in sunlight, it just looks like flat navy blue when it's overcast!
Are you definitely going for metallic? Maybe visit a large car showroom, something might catch your eye..

yeah maby a peugeot people carrier isnt the best car to show off that colour lol
also another colour i iv always thought looks nice on renault 5 gt turbos

i sprayed my mx5 turbo in yamaha r1 bike paint. its deep purple over metallic blue. i can get you the paint code if you like. its a 3 stage paint and glistens in the sun. if you search the net etc you'll only find my car and an ac cobra replica done in it so you'll not be passing anyone else with this colour unless its an r1 passing you. if i could ever work out hoe to post pics on these sites i would put one up of the mx for you
-
i do like the sound of the r1 paint job,
would love to see some pic of it though
-
BMW's Imola Red looks really well..
or Subaru WR Blue...
-
if someone can pm me how to put pics on or if theres a way of someone putting them on for me then ill stick them up. i have photobucket if thats wat its called. only thing with that paint tho is its solvent but i had no problems getting it done

Nice colour, looks like it explodes when the sun hits it.
i took the cheap option for shows and disconnect power to the lights and wind the motor down by hand. cheating i know

candy blue over a silver base looks nuts bud

I would definately go for a French racing blue colour, as this is the official colour of French racing cars. Check out the colours of the early competition Bugattis and, of course, Alpines. Just to stay faithful to the French racing origins :D Just my opinion, though
Cheers...

There's a chap opposite my friends who owns a new RS in that colour , I think i spent more time actually staring at the massive amounts of different colour variations on that car than i did actually looking at the car it self! good choice Hulk!
