i started on garya's 1/18 gt replica today :)
it will be the same as his ,same colour,interior etc

so then i took it to pieces :D

and painted the engine hoses :)

while that was drying i got the seats out

and because his are black leather i painted them black :)

i then got started on the boot (because his is smoothed)
layer of filler

and sand smooth

then i put it in primer and put it on the car (still needs work):)

then i put it back together and painted the wing in primer :)

tommorow im going to smooth the doors, finnish the boot,lower it,do the arches and possibly put it in primer :)

good stuff mate cant wait to see it when its done.how are u going to do my alloys tho? lol would that be hard.also my water resovouir is now red lol so if its possible could that also be painted red if not its ok as i see u are putting a lot of work into it mate.keep me updated well done. :D  :D

oh yeah forgot about the alloys :(
well got 2 options on them
1. paint the centers of the wheels that are on it raider blue
2. buy some lookalike alloys for it off ebay but that will add to the cost of the overall price :(
also the alloys of ebay wont turn round
which one do you think best ??

i am not botherd mate just decided what you think would look best if u think the ones of ebay would be better then i will cover the cost but if u think that the standard ones look better then keep them on not botherd mate.have u sold many of these mate its a good thing u have going on here.cheers mate.

well the cheeper option here is the standards and they dont look too bad when painted up
like on ASH_LEE's car , plus if i keep the origionals they will still turn .
wont be too much of a difference so i think we will go with the origionals

and i havent sold much apart from the 3.6 v8 escort which i sold for £70 i have always just modified models for fun :)

sanded the car down and de locked it

I know these models are quite big but I'm amazed by the detail and realism of them - even the rear panel with the arch removed looks like a real one! :lol:

started on the bumper today
it need more work but its almost there lol
first i started with some card

UPDATE::

got the r5 in primer :)

first i smoothed the locks off the doors

done some more today :)

i made the spoiler  :mrgreen:
started as a piece of card same as the front splitter
which i then cut into ruff shape and trial fitted, i cut it down more and this is the result..

Mate, you really know how to replica a car!! I started rebuilding a Ferrari F40 years ago, but haven't finished it yet :oops:

im getting some raider blue soon so it will be painted and laquerd then flatted and polished to get a deep shine

i will finnish the bumper tommorow and paint that up :)

but one thing i didnt mension on the update it i cracked the second windscreen :(
well i didnt my dog did so i am going to get some clear plastic and make a new windscreen :)
and then that will be the end of the project and i will be on to the next one :)
