hey mate i take it it has just done this since you fitted the turbo is it a second hand one?white smoke =water blue smoke is oil so im asumming the head gasket aint blown probably seals gone in your turbo,i would remove turbo elbow and check that side for signs of oil and water coming out of the turbo, hope this helps
-
When the oil seals in a turbo have failed it does look more white then blue, especially when your viewing it in the rear view mirror.
Pull the turbo elbow off, if it's oil and it's quite bad it will be full of black sticky mess.
-
yeh ash is right there will be an oily resedue at the elbow
-
gents, turbo off, seems ok no mess?increase in backpressure and heat been told possibly oil stem seals?cars stood for a while and dosent get loads of miles now, bought some conditioner and going to give it a go...your thoughts...m

I run without valve stem oil seals, for some reason they wont stay where i put them on my head.
It shouldn't smoke to bad if it's those, mine only puffs out the odd bit of oil on a hot start.
-
Worn Valve guides will let more through.
-
did you bleed the oil from the turbo oil fee pipe before you started the car up?? ??
-
all,update...defo the seals in the turbo, got me hands on another, coz the car has had the work done to fit the origional t25 should be sorted in no time.....cheers again, mark
-
head work to fit the t25 , I dont understand ? My t25 stage 3 just bolted on like the standerd T2
-
im a complete novice mate...enjoying the challenge though...the t25 came off a rover 220,so to me modifying even an oil drain was something new,oil feed wasnt long enough had to get new one made, even turning housings around and fitting/setting up actuator were all new...loving it,disapointed when i got the smoke though....mark
