Very good write up for the team there :D

I've never found front end grip to be an issue when bombing around the lanes to be honest, i'm always more concerned about the rear sliding around. Pulling off like a scalded cat can be a bit tricky though, it tends to just spin the wheels.

Thats in the dry obviously, in the wet it's a different story.

I've never had the rear step out (i drive like an old lady though). But I've had a good bit of understeer. That was with shocking cheap tires though.
Thats only through an industrial estate with big roundabouts so its pretty different.
Hopefuly I'll get mine on track this year and see what its really like :D

Being an old git and working in the motor trade in the 80s I had the good fortune to drive a lot cars of that era that were anything between new and 3 years old. Some of them include :

Xr3i
205gti
rs turbo
golf gti 16v
mg montego turbo
strada abarth
delta turbo not 4wd one
audi quattro(original turbo one ur)
astra gte
manta gte
m3 (e30)
nova sr
mg metro turbo
mg maestro
Uno turbo
cavalier sri
audi 80 sport
sierra xr4i
capri 2.8
sierra rs 500

I remember the first time I drove a R5. We got a trade in phase 1 that had 4000 miles on the clock. One of the guys after having been a road test came up to me and said you really need to drive this car. I thought its only a R5 but when I took it for a spin I was blown away.

Bear in mind that most poor people like myself couldnt afford to buy those cars and when finished work would jump into a cortina 2.0 or a fiat 131 tc. There was no comparison.
