could i move the stock intercooler down to the inside of the bumper and have a pipe running across the front to a second intercooler
just got given a spare one from my mates friend i brought the car from
some thing along the lines of

if you dont relise the picture the mesh has been added in, were the fogs would normaly sit
surely one of the 10 ppl viewed so far has an opinion!!!
-
Very long boost circuit, no real gain, prob won't be able to fit it where you want to.
-
the long route was what i was thinking
im not after any gain
i want the charged air to be cooler to make the engine run cooler, as i read the key to hgf is to keep the engine cool, just a idea
-
u just may aswell buy a fmic an plus the pipework need wud prob cost the same as buying the fmic an pipes
-
pipes would cost as much as a fmic and pipes??? how does that work!!
-
my intercooler was £65 an the pipe work for it came nearly £140 an buy hgf do u mean head gasket failure becuase its engine cooling u want to be looking not the air intake temperature
-
yes so you paid 200 quid for it all
so i need just piping,,,, even if i pay 140, but then i suppose a double capacity oem look i/c would be cheaper??
any way
i can get the alloy pipes made bent for preety much nothing, mate works at a metal fab/engernerring company already spoke to him and asked if i could get this done

looking good matey
did you buy the pipework as a kit for the 5 or did you have to maket it up then get the relative pipework that looked close to what it was supposed to?

but my 90 degree reducers comin off the fmic only just fit round the subframe which im not 100% happy with an also im gona have to cut the slam panel coz at the mo its squashing pipe.

hhhmmmm pretty interesting guide that like matey cheers

cant you just move the rad over abit to where the old intercooler was, save you cutting away at the car.the pipes should fit spot on ofthats done.
-
yeh i thought bout that as u can see the rads sittin a bit wonky lol but rather than start extending pipes an stuff i figure its gona be far easier to just cut out a notch, line it with something then the pipe shud sit in it nicely
-
line it with something then the pipe shud sit in it nicely
use the bonnet seal stuff the rubber bit that slots down both sides and across the bulk head get some of that stuff
or door seal
both will work
-
na im gona use a bit off vacuum hose an slice it down the middle then glue it on
-
or that yer!!
