 NOW I AM WAITING FOR MY NEW STANDARD GRILL OFF EBAY,
CLEAR FOGLIGHTS ALSO ALLOY BOOST PIPES FROM CGB, AND MY ALLOY INTERCOOLER FOR NOW UNTIL I SOURCE A STANDARD BONNET THEN THE CAR WILL BE PAINTED BY MYSELF IN R19 16V METTALIC BLUE WITH ADDED BLUE SAPHIRE BLUE PEARL
IVE ALSO GOT SUM CLIO TURBINES GOING ON BEFORE CRIMBO WILL GET THE PICS ON WEN I GET THEM PAINTED UP.

I doubt you will need a 140 main jet matey.  By yourself wideband matey

I was still using the standard main jet with other carb mod and was running 22psi and was produing over 200bhp+ and revving the car to 7850rpm without emptying the float chamber.

CHEERS M8 ND I HAVE CHOSEN TO GO ORIGINAL WITH THE STANDARD PH2 GRILL HERES A PIC ITS CURRENTLY TUNNGY GREY BIT A GIVE IT A QUICK LICK OF PAINT TO MATCH THE REST OF THE CAR TIL IT BECOMES BLUE (JUST SO IT DOESNT LOOK ODD)

EXACTLY I THINK IT WAS COS I WENT IN CLEAN AND NOT IN MY WORK CLOTHES SO THEY PROBEARLY THOUGHT I DONT NO HOW TO USE A SPANNER BUT THEY WERE MISTAKIN WHEN I KNEW JUST AS MUCH AS THEM. It's a re-circ dump valve, if it's still got all the bits inside and the diaphram isn't split then you can connect it up until you get a blanking plate made.

You can fit your twin port actuator if you want to keep the standard setup, or i think it's just a case of blocking that one pipe off.

Not 100% sure because i ripped all mine out and made it as simple as possible.

JUST BOUGHT A SIDE EXIT FROM EBAY TO MATCH THE DOWNPIPE I ALSO GOT OFF THE LASTNITE, MITE ASWELL WAIT TILL THEY COME AND THE PUT THE FULL EXHAUST AND NEW TURBO ALL ON TOGETHER AND I SHUD BEABLE TO SEE A REASONABLE IN CREASE IN BHP NOW :lol:

GOING TO GET THE CAR SET UP AFTER THAT SO ITS FUELLING PROPEARLY THO SO IT WILL BE RELIABLE POWER TOO 8)

15psi will be perfect for the turbo and your set up till you need the jets done once you go over 18psi i think lol
i done joannes at 26psi just over 2 year ago never had a problem till the turbo seal went pop trying to race down the duel carriage way.

once you go to 18psi and over you need a better intercooler
(hint hint got 1 in the living room for you lol)

well i fixed my problem with the alternator it enned up being the fact the car only had 1 earth wire so i got sum fat earth cable and made another two and its now working mint lol :lol:  :lol:

cheers m8y(cavsri130) i have just mot'd mine today failed on a track rod end and that was it so got the new one and put it on and i have just gettin back so now it has 12mths test hahaha  :lol:  :wink:

as for the work done to them, both the specs are quite similar really except shauns has a stage 1 head and mine has a t25 turbo as of tonight haha

i changed my turbo over yesterday and what a pain in the arse it was to come off  :twisted:

well the van is actually a 1.9 deisel and the owner tom rekons it does 0-60 in 6seconds and  he rekons it will beat mine to about 80mph no problem but i didnt want to take him up on his offer incase he did beat me as i couldnt live it down with my brother  8)

the van is running 20psi,front mount ic,uprated fuel pump,and it gets about 3 times more feul than it shud lol thats probs why its fast haha

so i have found a spare t3 actuator off my rs turbo and have just had t2 bracket welded on and had the shaft (if thats what its called) cut down and re-welded to make it fit and i was going to put it on and now its pissing down with snow :evil:  

i think i mite get it on oneday  :wink:  :lol:  and hopefully this actuator will be alot better :!:

My first T25 wouldn't boost much, make sure the internals on the dump valve are all there, better still make a plate and blank it off.

Otherwise all the boost you make will go back into the air intake and the turbo wont last 5 minutes.

how do i know what internals to look for :?:

if i get a blanking plate made will i have to remove the internals :?:

also i have got the t3 actuator fitted propearly and it is holding 8 psi and feels a bit quicker  :)  

and even when i turn the boost up in the car it still doesnt boost any extra (how many pipes need to be piped up to make the incar adjuster work propearly as i only have the middle 1 piped up to the actuator :? )

any help i would be very gratefull for m8y :wink:

just wound the actuator in abit more and took it out for a quick spin and gaind an extra 2 psi and felt a lot faster but i still want to run about 14psi :wink:  :lol:  :D

mine looks just like that one in the link (owe's car) and yes i have wound the boost adjuster both ways and still no difference but when its all the way in then i turn it out it makes a loud hissing sound and the car inside the cockpit stinks of petrol fumes (most probearly through the carb i guess).

but it worked perfect when you fitted the spidervalve for me so thats what i cant understand  :?

does the actuator have to be so far in for it to work :?:

just read the two links and on the incar link i seem to have two outlets venting into the atmosphere and one outlet going to the actuator (just to let you know i have kept the cup mod and ditched the spidervalve for now or maybe for ever lol) :wink:

tomoz i am going to take the turbo d/v plate off make a template (drawing) and get my fabricator to make me a proper blanking plate  :wink:

rite just wound the actuator in a little bit more and done the thing with the incar adjuster took my girlfreind to work and it does seem a bit more faster but this sound occured if this helps i will explain it best i can  8)

here it goes:
you know the sound a turbo makes when it spools up (the sssssshhhhhhhhh sound well when i keep my foot down further along the rev range possibly about 5000rpm+ the sssshhhh sound gets pretty loud almost as if it is getting more boost but the boost gauge doesnt go up its currently hitting between point d-e on the standard boost gauge

just been to my friends house and he sorted the problems for me;

1-i didnt have one the boost pipes on propearly
2-i had the actuator way too far in so he wound it all the way back out and back in 2 1/2 turns and now boosts 11psi perfectly

i still havent got the incar adjuster working propearly yet so i am assuming it may be broken

full set of red sfs hoses (breather ones are blue i think) gttunning degassing chamber and alloy breather swirl pot and gttunning heat shield he got them for a very good price but not as cheap as mine lol

decide to highten the back end of the car as the ramps (next to a macy d's car park) decided to pull my side exit off (on the bend where it connect to the bracket on the floor )  :evil:  so its back up and i am very happy now and a bit more comfortable aswell  :wink: get a pic up l8r  

also got round to getting my bonnet sorted out sanded all down then applied some kurust (on the bit above the light) and little skim ov stopper and then primered til i get the car painted :wink:

just finished pottering around with sum bits i got off john yesterday heads all finished as john ported and polished it for me (i just finished the polishing off) and had a little mess around painting the rocker cover, painted it liquid yellow

it wasn't really that hard as i just took some measurements and then got sum new rails made up and my bro had to weld one of them to the floor (cos these new seats are not as wide underneeth so one of the rails had to be moved over about an inch) but it looks better aswell i think and it has actually free'd up sum head room for me aswell as i am 6ft 5" lol

it was sitting well but couldnt get the front to match and when i put the side exit on it was catching everything lol
thats why i brought it back up abit about 15-20mm and now its much better lol :wink:  :lol:

it seems to handle alot better aswell at the moment as it was lower at the back compare to the front so it felt abit weird :wink:

got my new engine today (thanks to smithsgtt)

need to get it painted up and get it in probs start putting it in on monday now and get it painted tomoz and maybe start taking the fooked one out tomoz but heres the new spec of the engine

uprated headgasket kit
uprated head bolts 12.9 high tensile
baffeled sump
ported/polished head
ported/polished inlet manifold
new piston's and liners

get some pics as i go along taking the engine out and getting the bay painted and then putting the new lump in lol :wink:  :lol:

took the fooked engine out and then stripped all the bits off and transfered them onto the new engine and then i gave the engine bay a quick lick pf paint in renault 19 16v metalic blue (as thats what colour the is getting painted shortly lol)

i got the new engine back in today and just little bits and peices to do now:

air filter on turbo
coolant
gearbox oil
front bumper back on(i got the grill in it today so i'm happy with that lol)
and just give all the nuts/bolts and jubilee's a once over so it will be back on the road tomoz now (the set in about 5pm tonite so had to finish early lol)

yeah matey i know but if you read carefully ash-lee has already pointed that one out and i have already stated none of the pipes are actuall secure i just roughly put them back on til tomoz as it started to rain lol
and i said that i usually run that under the boost pipe bud

but again thanks for saying as it just goes to show some people actually do pay attention lol

Glad you remembered where it goes, i couldn't!  :lol:

I had visions of it running to the bulkhead for the heater matrix, but thats the other outlet on the water bottle, but i remember now. I cable tied mine out the way incase it found it's way into the radiator fan.  :shock:

right well its all running again now so just need to put my new fresh oil in and give all the samcos a rub down as they are proper minging lol

and also put the front bumper and grill back on too

well ive been bored waiting for the new shells coming for my engine as the new one was knocking too (but the guy i got it off has offered to buy the new shell's which i am happy about :wink: )

so today i have decided to make a start removing the rear interior so i can get my rollcage made up it's pretty empty now lol and i also was messing around with my front bumper again i have knocked out the bodge where someone has smoothed it out (as i dont like them smooth) to make way for the rub strips to go back in lol

i have also fitted a new rear bumper as mine was knakered (due to bad prep work by the dick who painted the car he didnt even rub the bumper down he just painted straight on top of the old paint so the paint is just flaking off :evil: )

got it on nice and tight and also rubbed my new sideskirt down (off when my g/f mate decided to stand on it when she got out of the car  :twisted: ) but never mind lol

also got the rub strips back in the bumper just need to take the tape off (as i had to use some bodykit adheasive to make them stop in place lol)

You know she'd never have scuffed the sideskirt up if she'd been getting out of the back of her car!! Then you can't say anything cause they make you feel like you're makin a fuss about noithing. :x
I dunno, cars and women. Both great in their own ways but they definitely don't always mix!  :)  :!: The car's lookin good anyway... I love tungsten grey - my 5 was this colour when I got it maybe I should've left it like it! :?

yeah i think your right there matey they deffo dont mix hahahahahaha

it's actually tungeston grey bud (the rear bumper is lol) it's flint grey off ford saphire cossie and its getting a full make over soon going to be the same colour as the engine bay (renault 19 16v metalic blue)

i might do a few twists with the bodwork too not sure yet though (but no bodykits or anything just a few adjustments with the way it is now lol :wink:

gonna get the front bumper and grill all rubbed down and primered today or tomoz i think :wink:

and then make a start on the rollcage

Thats a lot of swarf!

Thats not just worn bearings, have you checked the crankshaft? There has been some grinding action going on in there.

yes matey i have and it has some pretty bad score marks on it lol

but i am just doing my other engine as it aint half as bad as that one so its being taking out and getting changed again lol

but i wish i changed the shells in the other engine on the first day i noticed the change in the engine sound (and it would have been ok but the other crank is actually not even that scored there is some very very light scores and you can just say feel them if you know what i mean so i am gonna use that one)

well ive been wanting a set since i had the car but now i just cant help but want the speedlines on i really like the job that gtt-boost done on his nice grey centres and left a silver lip
ive seen a few r5s about the area latly with the easter weekend meet in weston and i got to get me a set :lol:

i have a set lol but i'm keeping them as i havent finished painting them yet as i have just been messing about with them to see what i can do with them lol
