Just a few things i would do for the following specs & is a ROUGH GUIDE
Fast road
T2 turbo (standard)
strapped intercooler
16 psi max (aprox 140bhp)
re-jetted carb
Fast road/track + uprated turbo
T2/25
strapped intercooler/alloy replacement
18psi max (approx 160-180bhp)
re-jetted carb
uprated fuel pump
uprated clutch (volvo, green box valeo from GSF)
uprated headgasket
cam (optional)
replacement cone type air filter (optional)
free flowing exhaust inc. downpipe (optional but reccomended)
trackday tyres (optional)
Fast road/drag
T25/T28
new pistons & liners (optional) forged (optional dependent on boost))
alloy replacement/FMIC/CC
21-25 psi max (180-230+ bhp)
re-jetted carb (poss larger needle jet)
uprated fuel pump
uprated clutch (paddle reccomended, i used a volvo cover with an AP paddle plate)
uprated headgasket
cam 285 or similar
replacement cone type air filter
free flowing exhaust (side exit or 2 1/4 minimum bore )
drag tyres (optional but your times will drop dramatically on the strip)
wideband controller (optional but highly reccomended)
There are other things you can add but these are the basic ingredients...
If anyone thinks of anything let me know.

Is the above boost preasures measured at the carb or manifold?

base
-
the fast road spec is not ideal for 16psi at carb base.

Why is that ?
-
I'm with Steve on this I would not take a standard t2 over 16psi this is going to be bordering on it's effiency and increased charge temps.
-
How about advancing the tdc +6 for fast road aswell this makes for a much more drivable car, used to do this on all my previouse 5s ;_)

I don't reccomend that as ideally you need to test for det as well, esp if you turn the boost up with it, fair enough if the boost is standard on a standardish car though I suppose. I think the most you can get is 4 degrees anyway.
-
If youre still running an RE209 you can advance the boost vac module and correct on the flywheel. This gives you more boost retard range.

what bhp would b best 4 nos

wheres the thread gone with turbo specs etc for sale?
-
It was in the 'For Sale' section, I can't find it, the prices were probably outdated anyway.
I think they were units available from this company.

Yer they where - I need the original post as it states the turbo specs - was it stevel that did it?
-
As Ash says it was in the classified section, might have been removed some time back as it was prob done a few years back now so prices would have chnaged. I think Steve might have had a good contact at CR turbo's but think his contact left sometime back now. Worth dropping Steve a pm and seeing if he can remember what was on there he may have a copy somewhere
