I cut the carpet for my car myself, its a hell of a job but still, a brand new black carpet usually looks alot better than used ones. Anyway be sure to post some pics of youre new carpet when you get one :D
-
ive got a friend cutting the carpet for this one and she is retrimming the door panels for me aswell so its going to safe me a small fortune
-
your car looks so good, amazingly shiney. i love it.
i just seen the picture of your van in the top pic and it took ages to trigger its the same as your name, some clever advertising there 8)
also, is your back box a 4" exit? i'm fitting one at the weekend, depending on the weather, and wondered if it clears the bumper or does it need persuation (hammering)? cheers
-
Lovin the pics mate... looks stunning in the sun, the new carpet and trim will be spot on 8) (post up some pics soon as its all fitted..lookin forward to seeing that!)

yes its a 4 inch scorpion back box it does clang on the bumper a bit but more when i start it up but seems to be ok when i drive it but iam going to make a bracket up to stop it clanging around when on start up, yes the van is for my business as i run a mobile car valeting service so i get to clean nice cars all day long

Who mentioned rain! does look awesome...great colour 8) ... what polish and wax do you use ?
I use Meguiars gold wash, Meg quick clay/detailer (when it needs it) P21s, Mothers Reflections, Autoglym extra gloss. I got a few Poor boys testers I havent tried yet. I wont mention the tyres and glass..metal..engine stuff.. but have a few of those too...lol  (bet I dont have as many as you tho! )
also... do use a machine to buff on / off with? I heard the new Meguiars DA one is a good choice.

i only use autoglym as i rate it really good and ive used it for the last 10 years or so, i use autoglym ultra deep shine which gives it a nice gloss finish and is a excellent polish and then a good carbana wax to finish it of and i sometimes use the extra gloss which i find is much better if you leave it for a good 2 hours before wiping it of, i do give it a good machine buff every now and then but i find i dont need to do it now as i did a good job in the first place when i buffed it so i have no swirls or scratches at all........ muck doesent sit on my car anymore it just rolls off  ........looking at your pictures of your car it looks like you are doing a good job in keeping it clean..... if you ever want any autoglym just give me a shount as my garge is full of the stuff as i use it for work everyday

A while ago I was tempted to get it professionally mopped...but if these Dual Action machines can be safe to use at home... might be worth getting one... but will hold off for a bit... funds are going ape shit lately.

Cheers for the info.. I might get some silver ones and take a look...see what they look like fitted. How easy is it to fit the middle gauge facias.. the oil guage / petrol gauge have small studs holding them on.. do u have to undo those studs to fit the lockwoods? (The rev and speedo just unscrew so they ae easy by the looks of it) Thanks mate.
I bet your five is already gleaming again by now! liking the sound of the new toy on its way...keep us posted ....sounds cool! 8)
-
You don't have to remove the actual gauge to change it, just the needle. If i remember correctly on the smaller guages the dials are held in place by something sticky. :?:

cheers Ash.. I'll have a gander at some spare ones I have and see how they look... and how you take the old faces off.
