Title: Tyre sizes
Post by: crookston on 18:32, Tue 29 November 2011
Did the 5 gtt ph2 originally come with 195 55 13 tyres? I have 185 60 13's on the car at the moment that need replaced. Is it advised to go back to original or can I replace like for like what I have at the moment

They come with 196/55-13 tyres as standard but they were manily Uniroyal which personally handle crap. Micheln did a tyre (MVX) but they very hard to come across, don't actually think there made anymore

Really? So stay away from the uniroyals? I ran uniroyal rallye's on my old 182 and they were ok. I've found 185 60 13 yoko A539's for 50 a corner. I run yoko parada's on my williams and they stick like glue. I think i'll go for the A539'S

What you going to be using car for? If its hard driving/track driving then i would say use a more grippy tyre but if its just a daily driver then they shoud be ok.
I tend to own 5's with alittle bit of power so i find 13's no good on the road so thats only reason i don't use Uniroyals

Just day to day driving to be honest. Not one for track days. The tread on the uniroyals don't look the best, I know its not all about that though.
