alright guys, ive been redoing my breadlines and so on, and discovered the rear drivers side bleed nipple has been snapped off, i was told that u couldn't replace them, because it screws up the inside of the caliper.. but i have just found some replacement nipples,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-5-GT- ... 5d2c94fb28 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-5-GT-TURBO-BRAKE-CALIPER-BLEED-NIPPLES-F-R-/400179919656?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d2c94fb28)
so whats the point in having replacement nipples if the calipers shagged once the nipples broke.. or have i been told wrong?? i haven't relay got the money at the moment to be replacing the whole caliper atm
thanks :D

I tried drilling mine but had no luck. In the end I just replaced the caliper.

so they can be saved ?? i like the sound more of $3 to $80

If you can't drive the car at the moment anyway you may as well try to remove the duff one and see how it turns out.

yeh i understand i cant break a broken thing, but i wasent sure if it could be fixed, agagin i was told if u drill em it makes it worse or summing so u might as well not bother, i just dident want to by a hole new caliper when it can be fixed for fa :D

i removed a broken nipple by welding onto the old nipple with a nut ,eventually with the heat it comes out
-
it looks pretty flush with the caliper, but i could give it ago though,, nice one :D

yeh just weld a wee spot onto the top of the nipple then lay a nut over it and weld the nut to the spot ,sometimes have to do it a few times cos the nut sometimes snaps off  just get plenty of nuts and go for it bud ,chepaer than a caliper !!!!!

welding a nut on sounds like a good plan
I had a bleed nipple snap on me earlier this year, I took it to an engineering firm who drilled it out then scraped the remainder of the material from around the threads out, only cost me £5.
Unfortunatley when I put in the new brake lines on it would leek fluid from the threads :(
