My Candy Apple Red 5
« on: 22:58, Wed 11 August 2010 »
Hi all,
This is my second 5, my first one i bought had a lot done engine wise and also looks wise, so decided to get rid and start one off myself, bought the car standard like this

Had a fair bit of lacquer lift and thanks to it being red had faded quite a bit too.
So i got it resprayed in candy apple red  8)

Thats it just after the respray.
After that had a series of problems, new carb, starter motor, then flywheel and another starter motor lol.
Then my turbo oil seals went, so i decided to put some time into her.
Pics soon to come but this is the spec how i have made her.
Exterior:
Candy Apple Red Paint
Cades Eros 15" Alloy wheels black with silver dish
Smoothed bump strips
Koni Adjustable suspension lowered 50mm all round
Interior:
Fiesta RS turbo recaro seats
Checkered interior panels and other gloss black panels
Fibreglassed pod gauge dash board mount
Engine:
Group A Carb
T25 Turbo
Pace Intercooler
Blitz Blow off valve
Full set of Samco's
Induction kit

Thats all at the minute, but after having her on the road for 2 weeks the waterpump belt fell off and car overheated, after letting it cool down it hydrauliced.
So now going to stick a set of uprated gaskets on it, so that its safe to run slightly bigger boost on the turbo.
Also hoping to get a front mounted intercooler on it.

Comments welcome :)
Cheers!
Dave
