Had a few characteristic come out on the five.

Blew the manifold gasket , and found the existing manifold was held on with bolts , so bought genuine renault studs and found some never ever ever self loosen bolts and wacked them on

Heat wrapped the downpipe

Re mounted the side exit after another speed hump / exhaust interface issue

Replaced various water pipes

Fitted twin capacity intercooler

Got stuck in snow

Rear arch has fractured in the snow / cold , will get some bondo , smooth it over and try a small rattle can fix.

Battery died on its arse as well. I now have a battery and a really , really good ice scraper and might venture out in it tomorrow to work ...

Forgot to mention , fitted the t2/25 that James sold me , rebuilt it and its running well.

Subframe adapters , thats all.

They don't tilt unfortuantly which can be a pain , but I very rarely carry rear passengers.

My car is cursed.

When the really cold weather was about , a broom fell and hit my rear arch. Cracked the bloody paint and arch. Must have been brittle due to the cold ..

I haven't got any carb base pipes on mine at the moment, makes it a nightmare to run in the colder weather, or maybe i'm getting to comfy with fuel injection on the modern cars.

I don't think it's cursed, i just think the French use a special type of plastic that no one else knows how to make. I swear i only have to sneeze in my car and some interior plastic shatters somewhere.

The seats move forward , but dont have the fold forward bit mate , you know , where you pull a button up and they hinge.

Your not wrong. I need the choke on for a week solid to get sensible running  :D

I farted once in my car and I swear the electric window motor is now slower as well.

Probably worth the few extra to get a proper Renault item. I've had a 'smart price' one fail on me after just a few months.
