Progress is progress, and it looks like you'll have a nice solid car at the end of it.

Keep up the good work man  :D

Right the change of plan is....... Reshell. i managed to secure a MINT r5 gtt shell in red off ebay at a price of 350. all is there minus interior a few bits of trim etc but there is a nearly complete engine (With engine knock). also full set of r5 standard alloys :D

so needless to say i will be mostly stripping things down this weekend in preparation for the new shell.

I may or may not keep the tungy shell and fix up all the rot etc while its stripped and sell as a rot/rust free shell or if anyone wants the shell once i am done with it i am sure we can come to an agreement

Well made a bit of progress, i wanted to get the dash outa the old shell and get that at least inside the newun. so done that fitted the tailgate and removed the engine and box (on the subframe....easy as foook)

Have only got a few pics so here they are.

Tailgate fitted with lights and upper light trim:

Dash fitted, took me all fricken morning and a few dooby's to get this one done:

Door fitted altho in bad nick, the hing is fubbared:

Ill get some pics of the bay and subframe wich i have now degreased ready for painting. i am away this weekend so will have to try and get the lump out of the greyun and get that cleaned and ready.

Lol @ the polo

Small update:

Engine and box out of original grey and all cleaned up and had a lick of paint.

Subframe is being cleaned up rust wise and just waiting for some poly bushes to turn up.

Cleaned up the alternator and water pump and gave the pump a new gasket.
