My GT turbo! EDITED
« on: 18:26, Sun 17 January 2010 »
Hi guys, I would like to apologize to those of you who tried to view my first thread a few minutes ago. The picture resolution was extremely high, so loading took  way too long. I've made the pictures smaller. Hopefully these are okay.

Hi guys, I've been a member of the site since december 3rd 2009. Quite honestly, I'm a bit embarrased about not having posted any pictures of my car earlier. I finally photographed it today, so now you can see what I'm driving
I might ad that the car is a work in progress, so it isn't quite how I want it yet. I won't be doing anything major until the outside temperature rises. It is simply too cold at the moment. But here it is. This is roughly how it looked when I bought it, except for bonnet and the duct tape on the grille  :)

The duct tape is only a temporary winter setup solution.

The GTE in the background is my roommate's.

I'm going to take the spoiler off. I don't like it.

This what I'm going to fit soon: Rear discs and pads, GT turbo badge, and a new turbo (not on picture)

That's it for now.

Cheers...

The car looks good. All the electric blue ones are popping up now  :D
What plans do you have for it?

Oh, that's good. Thanks a lot :D
Yeah! I think this exact color is the best looking for the car. Everyody has their own favorites, though

I'm of course going to change the wheels sometime closer to summer and get the rear end lowered! I've also planned to fit some kind of rollcage. Not quite sure yet which one.

I have the idea of making it into a semi rally car for daily use. Power wise I'm thinking around 180 bhp. I want it to be quite reliable

Yeah, its my favourite colour too  :D

You've got a nice base to start from so I'm sure you'll have it just how you like in no time.

I need the to prevent the carb from freezing. I've tried almost stalling twice because of the cold temperature. After I fitted the tape, there has been problems of carb icing  :)

You're right. The spoiler is ugly and is coming off, although I like the red stripes. They are really a sign of the 80's  :D
