they're wicked little cars uno ash, especially for a first car but tbh ive had more issues with my 5 than i ever did with any of the 4 ax gt's i had. im just toyin with the idea at the moment tho as i have a 106 xsi aswell an wudnt mind stickin a 306 gti6 lump in that lol.

this is how she sits atm tho, covered in bird shit lol

why gti-6 a 106??? its been done before on a s2 106 gti...and it was a complete hassle - modifying inner guards etc etc

your better with the tu type engine (vtr/vts/rallye/gto engine - 8v/16v) its a direct fit onto the 1.4 ax gt engine mounts. also the gti-6 engine will make it nose heavy

ps. a local guy to me has a normal ax gt with 28,000miles and turned down £4,500 :( lol

aint updated this in a while....

still doing this along side my Raider restoration project.

well top engine mount is on, head painted black and rockers on. also few more goodies added on

waiting on pistons and rods coming back from balancing and the hi spec 4 pots are here, but no pics yet

ugly morettes for cooling purposes

liquid yellow rear calipers

carbon oil cap

got my -40mm gmc springs and billie b8s this morning after waiting a month :@. the pistons and rods arrived a while back but the lot is away for balancing and the pics of them have been lost

anyways heres billies:

ust got a few bits back from anodising! I wanted the bits done purple, but my mate wouldnt allow me as he is using purple on his project car...so opted for gold. they came out well and the parts i done where my cam pulleys (not delievered yet), supercharger pulley, alternator pulley and bottom pulley (not pictured, as its away with pistons and rods etc to get balanced)

heres cr4ppy pics:

and an updated pic of the block with the black alternator and oil cooler

got jp4 rockers (off a c2 vts)

flocked dashboard

got stuff back from powercoating again and this time new colourage PINK LOL tbh i think it looks the part!! Sent the anti roll bar off again, as the red didnt really appeal anymore and im trying to make the car as bright as possible and think i have cracked it lol...anyways here goes the bilsteins to their new home :)

got my pistons and rods etc back from balancing and engine is now ready to build :)

and then stuck my anodised pulleys on for show :)

other than that the car is way getting more areas shot blasted before cage gets welded in and it goes to paint :

True true! What about these Wössner pistons, how do they improve the combustion?

benj i bought it off ebay, but it can cost around £150 to do! it should be kicking out around 220bhp at the wheels when done!

anyways.....still waiting on saxo coming back from shotblasting so i give the rear calipers and steering rack a going over.

i love the rear calipers especially :), heres piccies:

steering rack:

calipers:

once shell is back i will get really stuck into it. also been working on raider bits and bobs so not massive progress to be honest!
