my phase 1
« on: 17:03, Tue 29 September 2009 »
This is my phase 1, i brought it a few weeks ago and have been sorting out its issues,

It had one previous owner and spent the last 12 years in a garage!
It has 95000miles on the clock, i have replace so far the ht leads, plugs, dizzy and rotor arm, oil, gearbox oil. Currently in the post is a complete exaust on its way from the netherlands and a phate 1 wheel to make the full set,

the only things i needto do before the mot is unsieze or replace the passenger side rear caliper, stop it running so lumpy and replace a bush in the steering coloumb.

Being only 18 i cant really afford to insure a second car so i wanted to know what anybody thought it was worth, here are a few pics!

Non sunroof!!!

Electric windows and central locking and a retro tape player, All work!

Does this mean its reliable?

its staying original, only rust is where the rear bumper bolts on on 1 side, it has been bodged with fiberglass untill i have time to weld it up!

its spent almost everyday of its life garaged, only the last 2 weeks its been outside!

tbh mate that is a great find, i personally wouldnt get rid of it, instead have it as a project to do some of it up on the engine side, nothing o.t.t have it deckd a lil to help the handling and bring it out when u can get insured. there are places that u can get that specialize in 2nd cars and as that comes under classic insurance ur be surprised on how much it can cost ya. always ways around it. il pm u

Noo, did you crash the bimmer. Shit luck.
I dont think you should sell it, its a very nice example, put it back in a garage and pull it out in a few more years :D
