That's John's old R5 matey (big bloke looks a little like Peter Kay but uglier  :lol: ), I have spent many an hour playing, sorting the carb out also the wiring in the engine bay LOL.

If you want to know what i have done on it drop me a pm or if you want to know more of history I can tell you some.

Finding one with no rust is very rare!   :wink:   I think u've done well going by the pics :)  Looks clean and tidy on the inside as well.

Just looking at some pics and stumbled on your car when John 1st got it matey and mine next to it when I had smoked rear lights not to my taste the smoked lights :D

Sorry i havent updated this thread for a while, been reallly busy at work.

Right, I have decided to keep the renault 5 and completely restore it back to standard.

I have spoken to mike (Phase I 16 V Turbo) and he is getting a list together with all the parts that i will need.

Tony (fishead) is going to fit some of the new bits, he did some work on my carb a few weeks ago and now im getting about 35-40 mpg!  :D

I will keep this thread updated with everything i do on the car.
