I painted engine and other smaller parts in silver. It is not ready yet, but good start :) :




Clutch :). That clutch should be able to keep easily 220 hp (guaranteed) :

I rebuild whole engine...there are still standard pistons, standard cranckshaft...bearings are better than normal.

I changed all seals etc...valve adjustments were quite interesting...lol...there are maximum size valves.

BTW: If you guys want change cylinder head, then you should look also Twingo's cylinderhead. There are already larger valves and it is "bolt-on" to c1J engine.... ;) ....

aaaah didnt know that,are you refering to the old twingo,we didnt have much of them in britain,ill keep that in mind for future projects  :lol: if  the wife will let me,keep up the good work

Hehe... I fitted R19 16V radiator fan (I don't know if it is right word)...it is bolt-on too.

It don't keep as much noise as original (similar to R5 GTT radiator fan)...

I have also front axle from R19 16V...that way there are bigger discs (better brakes) and axle is stronger also...it was "almost" bolt-on...

OK folks....time update little bit.

I painted gearbox today, but it is not ready yet so...I will post pictures later :) .

Here are some parts... :) ...those will be installed immediately after painting...

You have been a busy boy. I really like the steering wheel. Where did you get it from mate if you don't mind me asking?

I bought that from eBay...from Poland I think...

Just try to find Steering wheel and Renault ...

Ok...time up update. I received more parts and gearbox is now finished (pictures from that later)...

New bulbs :)



Necessary wires to use safely remote start.



Adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge...



I will receice soon 7 bar fuel pump to replace old one...  :D
