Is the subwoofer secured to the boot in any way mate? Would hate it to become part of your head in an accident.

I have always had amps and subs secured as they can become like missiles in accidents. Imagine yourself having an accident and that coming through the boot at a phenomenal speed and smashing into the back of your head.

Your choice of course.

i might even take it out becouse the amp im using is only 300w and the sub is 1100w so it not really up to the job and my car seems to have got really slow since i put it in

just because the sub is 1100w doesn`t mean that you need a 1100w amp as it would blow it to pieces!! What you need to do is find out the RMS value of the sub which i think is about 300w rms and then have an amp to match the subs RMS so then you will need an amp which runs at 300w rms and it will be perfectly matched
