R5 Campus Prima.
« on: 12:22, Fri 20 July 2007 »
This is my firstcar, I have wanted and R5 for just about....ever.

Obviously eventually I want an R5GTT but for now I want tomake the one I have look the bees knees. As this is my first car, I need to be walked through it, does anyone have any advice? How to start modding etc? Do I go for body first or for engine? Does it matter? Anywhere that you rate very highly?
I'll be learning as I go here so please keep techy lingo to a minimum

Cheers in advance,

Trace.  8)

could put gtt bodykit on it as its cheap and looks good and easy to put on then you can lower it and put  some 16's and it will look alright 8)

you dont really wanna go mental with it as the insurance company will arse rape you

or you could bung gtt lump in there and not notify the insurance company but it is risky and if i you crash u probaly wont get cover
theres a little 5 in all of us

I've recently begun my Campus Prima project (Project Iceman) and personally, I'm doing the exterior first, (although I've tidied the interior with red and black seat covers, mats, gaiters etc) here's what I've done so far....

Applied Red Renault decal to back window. (available on ebay)
Changed front orange indicators to clear ones. (ebay again)
Removed Campus badge from tailgate strip.
Fitted black 15" alloys. (not sure of the make, got them off the lad above's brother) :)

Here's what I'm going to do next....

Prime and spray wing mirrors in same colour as car.
Prime and spray upper and lower rear light quarters in same colour as car.
Prime and spray tailgate trim in same colour as car.
Fit clear side repeaters
Prime and spray GT Turbo rear bumper in same colour as car, then fit.
Fit Magnex exhaust system.

I still need a GT Turbo front bumper, wheel arches and side skirts

Could you give me the model number of the induction kit or a link so i know where to get one. Did you have to do any modifications to it yourself?

Did you buy the parcel shelf or did you make it?

i used to have a campus with gtt arches, skirts and prima racing tarmac bumpers, proper loved it. i don't have any pics anymore from changing computers  :(
love the phase 1 kit, the trims are hard to find some times but bob at cgb sometimes has a few in.
