can anyone help me with how to bleed the water system?? first day back on the road and iv overheated, pipes seem to be dry and res is full so im now thinking air lock? also first i knew of this prob was car started to sound like it was running on three cylinders and a lack of power (was not on boost as i knew something was wrong) also when i got the car it never smoked on start up so its not valve seals, but smokes when gentle accelaration is applied, but not on boost?? anyone got any ideas would appreciate it cheers Dean
P.S got pics of car in colour was hoping to go get some nice scenery to get a few more but never got there lol :(

looking forward to seeing it in colour.

there are 2 bleed screws on the top rad hoses. one ontop of water pump and the other goes to the rad. blow into the header tank and get someone to undo the higher bleed screw untill coolant flows from the nipple without air, then do the same on the lower one and finally top up the coolant

You're only 5 minutes from me then. I'll give you a hand bleeding the system if you need?

Like Mark said, we'll be going to Ace on Monday evening if you fancy coming with us.
