Renault 5 GT Turbo / Re: Crack in the plastic part of rad ..

Next time also try and include a piece of thin cloth with the JD Weld .. start by applying some JD weld then put this piece of cloth onto it and let dry for a while and then apply more JD weld. Done this to a cracked rad during an overland experience from Northern Italy to Malta. Radiator still holds up fine  :)

and its also a very good idea to 'V' shape the crack like Ash-Lee said

Looks very nice mate!

I really need to somehow put pic's of my red 5 with the volvo conversion i'm doing, think you'll be interested on it i've done some very special mods to it!  :D

yeppp I also think you need to put up some shots of your 5 !!!!

What sort of mods did you do to it ? heard that a cam from a n/a 1.7 ltr F series engine would work better than stock one. Do you know anything about this ???

Thanks everyone for the posts.

I'm surprised by how much room there is under a 5 bonnet, especially with the battery located up top. A friend of mine has a 2.0 16v engine from a Rover 420. Would that fit or would it need a lot of work to squeeze in?

In that case I'd go for an F7R .. 2.0 16v Williams engine. Plug & play  :D

Very NICE MATE!!!

Can u tell us something more about the Specs?? Power etc.... :))

REGARDS!

Cheers  :D

Not sure on what sort of power it is producing but I'd roughly say 170 - 180 ponies

Volvo 480 turbo engine (B18FT)
high pressure fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator set at 3.2 bar
14psi boost pressure
FMIC
Richmod ECU (moded stock ECU by a volvo 480 forum user .. veryyyyy effective !!)

thats about it ..
