1st up can somebody post up a few pics of header tanks relocated to pass side where  battery lives and what pipe work they have used to get it there, and are these any good as a cheap substitue wideband?? just to give me a rough idea of what the engines going ... 518f6c184b

hi peeps my 5 turbo wont start, theres a good spark but no fuel getting to the carb, also noticed i cant hear the fuel pump prime when ignition is switched on. whats the best way to test the pump and what else could it be, heard fuel pump relays can be faulty? where is this located and can it be tested? cheers

right had problems with my brakes they have been like a non servo assisted car very hard to press and dont really work well at all, have put new pads and discs allround and a new servo but they still feel like the servo isnt working, i'v done a test on the servo by pumping them up with the engine off then pressing them while starting the engine and the pedal goes down ok? any suggestions? also what i want to know should there be a one way valve in the vacum pipe to the servo? any help cheers

are saxo vtr/s calipers the same as a 5 as i know the pads are the same so imagine they are but can anyone confirm this? cheers

is this a good thing to do? took mine out today as been flushing the system out and left it out while ran the cleaner through and it kept temp well below where it normally runs at fast ideal, is it ok to leave it out permantly?

as aboev having touble with the heater, fan is working ok but most of the time there is nothing coming out of the vents but sometimes can go over a bump and it works for a minute or so???

know its 15w 40 but is semi synthetic the best for a 5 turbo, ... K:MEWAX:IT

works, wont work or does 0-60 in half a second, is this a common fault and where am i looking to solve it? gearbox sender on its way out or cable loose at back of dash?? thought i'd ask before investigating so i no what to expect or where to look, cheers  :lol:

well bought my 1st real r5 turbo after previously owning a black 1.4 rep and a bright yellow ali g style 1.7 gtx, once i learn how to post up pics il let them do the talking, thats all for now

right sorry for all the posts just bought my 1st 5 turbo so still learning lol, one question i have is what mpg are you getting out of your 5 turbo? mine is standard bar 2.5" magnex exhaust, forge front mount and air filter and it seems to vary between 25-30mpg driving steady which isnt brilliant is it?? also i am wanting to get a bit more power. what is the best way to go about it? was considering t25-t28 turbo and piper185 cam on top of the mods i have plus a bleed valve to up the boost, what power would i be looking to see from those mods?? the headgasket has been uprated to a steel one so hopefully that wont be much bother for a few hundred miles, thanks for any info guys

hi people just wanting to no how i go about fitting the above as the standard oil pressure gauge has lost the will so was going to add new gauges in a pod somewhere but  not sure where to put the senders as i put them on a redtop corsa and did it with  a sandwich plate on the oil filter but doesnt look like i can do it this way on the 5 due to the sandwich plate for the oil cooler, cheers for any help

hi all picking an r5 up tommorrow so thought i'd better get signed up in preperation for asking whats gone wrong  lol, not the first 5 i have had i had a 1.4 r5 rep a few years ago and a 1.7 gtx after that but always been more into vauxhalls tbh but finally decided to try a turbo as always wanted one, the one i have bought is baby blue and located in wigan if anyone has seen it about, has forge front mount intercooler thats hard to miss and a few other bits and bobs, havent viewed it yet as bought spur of moment thing but hopefully its as good as it looks  :roll:
