« on: 17:53, Tue 03 November 2009 »
Does anyone know where i can get the rubber oil return pipe that goes on the sump? I've tried local dealers and they say it discontinued and cgb is like 28 which is pretty dear for a few inches of pipe.

I've just had a recon block fitted to my 5 and theres a few bits of wiring that i'm not sure of.
does anyone know where the 2 earth cables that are fixed to the bulk head on the drivers side go and the other that is fixed next to the aei. Also when i turn the key the oil light and battery light don't work either?

I had a similar problem where sumone had sat on it. the sunroofs are pretty hard to get hold of.Got a whole new roof fitted by chopping it off this and having all the welds drilled out and redone.

Renault 5 GT Turbo / Wiring question
« on: 22:51, Mon 10 August 2009 »
Does anyone know what the yellow plug with the 2 yellow wires in one side and a white wire in the other connects to. its located near the alternator. And is it possible to get wiring diagrams of the engine? The Haynes ones are impossible to read.

Renault 5 GT Turbo / jerky acceleration
« on: 23:35, Tue 06 January 2009 »
hi guys

i'm having some problems with my r5 and i'm wondering if anyones had a similar problem.

Basically the car started cutting out when coming to a stop.i've had a mess about with the aei and put new leads and a rotor arm on but i think the problem was the relay behing the aei.Because i wiggled the wires and it stopped the engine i sprayed a bit of wd40 in and it hasn't been cutting out since.

Now when i'm driving along and i take my foot off the accelerator and press it again the car jerks badly and it feels a bit numb to drive too?

cheers Mike  :)
